A little overdue. I know. But here it is: part 2 of 2 of a focus on cover-cropping on a small scale. The main feature of this episode is a conversation with Helen Atthowe, a veteran farmer/researcher with a tonne of experience growing living mulches. She runs a great website at veganicpermaculture.com, which features a bunch of videos showcasing her cover-cropping research and techniques. In our conversation, Helen describes the general principles of cover-cropping with living mulches and gives me advice for my own plan to keep my garden pathways in a permanent cover-crop of Dutch White Clover. Also in the episode, toward the end: my guests from the last episode, Dave Bradbeer and Alan Sundermeier, give me advice on my cover-cropping plans.
There's a lot of useful information here. I hope you enjoy.
