This just came in from Emi Do, an urban farmer in Vancouver. Her business is Yummy Yards. Space is tighter than a hipster's pants in an urban farm setting, so Emi and her partners came up with a way to accommodate seedlings and chicks in one small hoophouse.
Emi figures that the need to provide heat to young chicks would also benefit the seedlings overnight, except that their hoophouse has a few holes that prevent the system from working in their favour that way.
Thanks to Emi for the submission.
