While at the MOSES Organic Farming Conference in Wisconsin recently, I stumbled on the BCS booth in the conference's trade show. Got chatting about attachment maintenance, and one thing those guys told me was to check the guards on my Berta Rotary Plow blades. They wear down so that the blades themselves don't, but if you wait too long, you can wear through the bolt holes on the blade that allow you to attach the guards. That's when things get really expensive. I checked mine when I got home, and I was getting pretty damned close. Thanks BCS guys!
You've been warned. And don't forget--your Berta came with an extra set of guards.
